Vivian Louise Doggett was born September 6, 1929, to the late Oliver and Willie Belle Doggett in Memphis, Tennessee.
She was a proud graduate of Manassas High School class of 1947.
She professed her love for Christ at an early age at Smothers Chapel CME Church.
She later joined Lane Ave Baptist Church (currently World Overcomers Church) under the leadership of Apostle Alton R. Williams Sr. where she attended regularly until her health prevented her from attending.
Vivian was united in Holy Matrimony to Fred A. Bentley Sr. This union was blessed with six children: Jocelyn A. and Joseph W. both preceded her in death, Vivian A, Fred A, Marion C, and Sandra K.
She was an employee of John Gaston (currently Regional One) until she retired.
Vivian departed this life on Saturday April 6, 2024, when she strutted into the arms of the Master.
She is survived by 4 Children Vivian A. Bentley, Fred (Peggy) Bentley, Marion McClain, Sandra Hoof all of Memphis, TN. Two brothers Marvin (Jonetta) Doggett, of Memphis TN, and Rueben Doggett of Fresno, Ca.
Eight grandchildren: Christina Bentley, Joseph (Annie) Bentley, Charles Hoof Jr., Ashley Hoof, Jason McClain, Marchello McClain, Marion K. McClain, Bridgette (Darrell) Bentley-Atkins, all of Memphis, TN., Two grandsons preceded her in death Dr. Gerald Bentley, and William McClain. She also leaves a host of great and great -great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Vivian Bentley (Memphis, Tennessee), who passed away on April 06,2024, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. Please keep the Bentley family in your thoughts and prayers. Vivian you are truly missed.
