Tim Eugene Dooley "Teddy Bear"

Timothy was born on April 9, 1968. He was the tenth child of eleven children (4 sisters and 6 brothers) born to the union of the late Leander and the late Earnestine Dooley. Tim as he was affectionally known as Teddy Bear, accepted Christ at an early age was baptized at Bethlehem Middle Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. R.W. Taylor.

He graduated in 1988 from George Washington Carver High School; afterwards he attended Tennessee College of Applied Technology-Memphis (TCAT), where he majored in Welding.  Anyone who knew Tim, knew he LOVED the Lord, his Wife, Family, Seattle Seahawks Football Team, washing and detailing cars, “SANG’N LOUD & OFF-key,” making others laugh, good food and cold beverages, and his fur-baby, Fluffy.

From a previous relationship, Tim had Two daughters: Porsha and Tameka Dooley and Five grandchildren.  Three grandsons: Marshaun Aldridge, 16, Cody Moffitt, 14, and Kash Anderson, 5. Two granddaughters: Kierstyn Aldridge, 12, and Ribbon Lacey, 1).

In 2016, Tim met and fell in love with Melanie Pleasants becoming inseparable. They married on August 9, 2019 - celebrating their 5th Anniversary last month together in Baltimore, Maryland. He also loved to pick out coordinating outfits for them to wear for whatever occasion and holiday they would attend or celebrate…

Tim’s sense of humor and voice went silent on the morning of Monday, August 26, 2024. He called Melanie from work to tell her he wasn’t feeling well and was “going home” shortly after that call, he lost consciousness and did not regain it...Tim peacefully transitioned on Thursday morning, September 12, 2024 with his loving wife Melanie by his side, as he took his last breath to be with the Lord...He joins his other family members who preceded him in death - Parents: Leander and Earnestine Dooley; Sisters: Averlene Dooley and Gayle Darlene Dooley; Brothers: Richard Dooley, Phillip Dooley, and Nephew: Taranius Marshall.

StepGrand Daughters & Granddaughters: Corbyn Cash-Pleasants, Zamyiah Freeman-Pleasants, Kierstyn Aldridge and Ribbon Lacey.   Sisters:  Lenora Diane Dooley and Phyllis Dooley; Brothers/(In-Laws):  Sylvester Dooley (Cornelia), Roy Dooley, William Dooley, and Donald Dooley (Denetra). Sister-in-Laws: Adriane Nolan and Rose Nolan-Walker.  Brother-in-Law:  Bruce Nolan.  Aunts/(In-Laws):  Annie Hardy, Amy Hardy, Ella Hardy, Barbara Davis (Sidney), and Florine Davis.  Uncles/(In-Laws):  James Hardy and Michael Hardy (Lois); and a host of Nieces and Nephews, GrandNieces & GrandNephews, Cousins, extended Family, Friends and Colleagues, whose life he touched over the span of 56 years.
