DaVonta Lewis

Devonta LeShun Lewis was born on May 3, 2008 to Monisha D. Lewis and Nicholas M. Stewart. He attended Bolton High School where he was a member of the football team. He departed this life on July 10, 2025.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather Lee Floyd Bishop Sr. and his aunt, Monique D. Lewis

Devonta leaves to mourn his passing his parents Monisha D. Lewis and Nicholas M. Stewart, one Sister Dwonique L. Lewis, his maternal grandmother Deborah A Lewis Butler; maternal grandmother Francine Brown; Paternal grandfather Micheal Stewart Sr., three aunts Monica D. Mormon (Derron), Chanyne Bishop, Laura Brown, three uncles Lee Floyd Bishop Jr. Micheal A. Stewart. Jonathan D. Stewart, five great Aunts Ernestine B. Watson, Pastor Janet L. Taylor, Debora Voss (Floyd), Vivian Murray, Sandra Collins, a great uncle Warren Lewis. He also leaves  special cousins Deontay Lewis, Tamya Frankin, Dynisha Lewis, Destiny Lewis, Dryiah Banks, Jonathan D. Stewart Jr. Lee Floyd Bishop  III; and a special friend Makel Stitts. Devonta also leaves a host of other relative and friends.

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of DaVonta Lewis of Memphis, TN, who left us on July 10, 2025, at the age of 17, He is survived by many families and friends who cherished and loved him dearly. Please keep the Lewis Family in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. DaVonta, you will be truly missed.
