Dave Ray Gholson's journey began May 24, 1934; he was one of six children born to Richard Gholson and Lottie Brown. His parents and three silbings, Alonzo Bell, Geraldine Bell and William Bell preceded him in death. Dedication was one of the many characteristics displayed throughout Dave's life, as he worked diligently at Flavorite Labaratories for forty-five years as a Laboratory Technician.

United in marriage to Lurline Gholson for forty-eight years. Dave's devotion to his family was his passion. He was a true example of what a husband, father, and grandfather should exemplify. He devoted his life to taking care of his family. All who crossed his path were blessed by his words of wisdom and infectious sense of humor.

Dave's journey on this side ended November 18, 2009. He leaves to cherish his memory and celebrate his living; a loving wife Lurline Gholson; one son Dwight Livingston; four daughters, Verlinda Taylor, Addie Terry (Bobby), Elaine Muhammad (Andre) and Davett Gholson, all of Memphis, Tn.; two sisters, Joyce Marie Cannon of Memphis, Tn. and Della Gholson of Cleveland, Oh.; one brother, Richard Gholson of Cleveland, Oh.; sixteen grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.

He will be greatly missed, but the love ones left behind will be comforted and healed through precious memories of his love and kindness.
